I’m Vi, a 25-year-old 2nd-year JET ALT from Boston. I work at two senior high schools in Sakata City, Yamagata, Japan. Before I came to Japan, I was a toddler teacher at a bilingual Japanese and English daycare in Cambridge, MA for two years. Before that, I was a student at Boston College as a double major in applied psychology and sociology, along with a minor in special education. I started this blog to share my personal experiences and thoughts for my family and friends back home. Eventually, I hope to share my travels in other countries while I’m living in Japan. My dream is to live in a different country every few years or so. I would love to live on every continent, not sure about Antarctica though. But that’s the dream.
My hobbies include reading, bouldering, hiking, photography, craft beer, and listening to new music. Now, I’m learning how to play the ukulele while surviving in Japan.
